The Paradym X was the max-forgiveness, slice-fighting member of the 2023 Paradym trio. It shares the 360 Carbon Chassis and A.I. Jailbreak Speed Frame with the standard Paradym but stretches the 460cc head into an oversized, back-heavy profile to push MOI as high as Callaway could get it, then adds a fixed draw setup: extra weight toward the heel and a lie angle cranked to 60 degrees, a full 3 degrees more upright than the standard Paradym. The A.I.-designed face is tuned for higher launch and tighter downrange dispersion. It is not a hard hook machine — reviewers describe 'enough right-to-left to take the edge off a fade' rather than a dedicated draw driver — but it is the head in the line built to keep an average player in the fairway.
A mainstream max-game-improvement driver with no cult following: no tour-win mythology (the pros played the Triple Diamond), no scarcity, superseded on Callaway's one-year cycle by the Ai Smoke Max. It sold in volume to slice-prone and slower-swing players and is now simply a plentiful, affordable used forgiving driver. Its value is functional.
Aimed at mid-to-high handicaps and slower-to-moderate swing speeds (roughly 80-105 mph) who fight a slice or want the ball up and straight with minimal fuss. Launched Feb 2023 alongside the Paradym and Triple Diamond, competing with the TaylorMade Stealth 2 HD, Ping G430 Max/SFT, Titleist TSR1 and Cobra Aerojet Max in the max-forgiveness/draw segment. It replaced the Rogue ST Max/Max D concept and was itself replaced by the 2024 Paradym Ai Smoke Max (neutral-forgiving) and Ai Smoke Max D (draw), which split the X's job across two heads.
This is the forgiveness head of the 2023 line: oversized, back-weighted, high-MOI, with a built-in draw lean and a high launch that gets the ball up for moderate speeds. Off-center and heel strikes hold speed and stay left-of-trouble better than the standard Paradym (8) or the Triple Diamond (6). It sits at 9 rather than 10 because it is still a tunable 460cc driver, not a pure oversize game-improvement extreme; the women's-specific REVA and the later Ai Smoke Max Fast are its equals near the top of the scale, and no titanium 460cc head is a true 10.
Calibrated across the whole catalog — a tour blade scores low here on purpose; it means control, not ease.
In 2026, 2nd Swing and similar reconditioned-retail channels list clean examples in roughly the $250-$450 range depending on condition and shaft, against the $599.99 launch price. Private-party value on eBay/SidelineSwap is meaningfully lower, commonly about $140-$230 for a stock-shaft head in good shape. Like all one-cycle-old flagships it depreciates steadily; the draw-bias, slower-swing target keeps demand solid but not premium.
