A running collection of small side bets tracked as "dots" on the scorecard and settled after the round at an agreed value per dot. Also called junk, trash, or garbage. Each dot rewards a specific feat: a greenie for hitting a par-3 green in regulation, a sandy for saving par out of a bunker, a barkie for making par after hitting a tree, a chippie for holing out from off the green. Groups pick their menu on the first tee, award a point per achievement, then pay the difference at a dollar (or quarter) a dot. Dots keep every hole alive even after the main match is decided — and a 15-handicapper can out-junk a scratch player all day.
