Opened in 2005 to a design by James Wilcher, a former member of Greg Norman's design team, the course pairs a native-woodland front nine with a wetland-influenced back nine near Port Stephens. It is unrelated to the better-known Pacific Dunes course at Bandon Dunes in Oregon.
