Albatross opened in 2009 near Vysoky Ujezd on the edge of the Bohemian Karst, about 30 minutes from Prague, designed by English architect Keith Preston, who also built the Czech Republic's well-regarded Ypsilon course. Built at a reported cost near 30 million euros on 200 hilly acres overlooking the Berounka and Litavka river valleys, it quickly became the country's top-ranked course and, since 2014, has hosted the DP World Tour's Czech Masters, drawing fields that have included Ernie Els, Rory Sabbatini, and Henrik Stenson.

The member who wants to play a real DP World Tour venue — Els, Fleetwood, Molinari, and Westwood have all teed it up here, and the closing stretch will test a low single-digit's nerve.

The closing run of 16, 17, and 18 decides most rounds — 16 hugs water down the left to the green, 17 adds a stream cutting across the long hitters' landing zone, and 18 closes with the property's largest hazard guarding the green.

Five tees per hole and clearly marked bail-out areas make this playable across a range of levels, but water guards the closing three holes hard enough that higher handicappers may find the finish punishing.

Moderately hilly parkland with tournament-standard bunkering and heavy water on the closing holes — expect the sim bay to reward precise carry numbers over the water-guarded 16-18 stretch more than raw distance.
