Greg Norman first walked this stretch of Muscat coastline in 2006 and returned to build Oman's first links-style course, opening in 2012 along a two-kilometer run of Arabian Sea shoreline with the Hajar Mountains behind it. The par-72 stretches to 7,342 yards and has hosted the DP World Tour's Oman Open along with Challenge Tour and Asian Tour events. It's consistently ranked among the best courses in the Middle East and inside the world's top 100.

The member who wants to feel wind off a real ocean — Al Mouj plays and punishes like a true links, and the coastal 7th, 9th, and 18th are as scenic as anything in the region.

The par-3 11th plays to an elevated green against an azure backdrop with wind constantly re-calculating the shot; the coastal 9th tees off yards from the beach to a well-guarded green, and the par-3 5th carries entirely over water.
