Hyper RD is the newest member of XXIO's Rebound Drive family, a lineage built specifically around slower, senior-friendly swing speeds rather than tour spin. Dunlop introduced it in January 2026 with a firmer core than its Rebound Drive predecessors, paired with a new ionomer cover formulated to feel closer to urethane than typical two-piece distance balls. It leans on a 362-dimple pattern with seven dimple sizes to hold ball speed and trajectory longer through the air, the same aerodynamic approach XXIO has used across its RD balls since the original Rebound Drive arrived in 2022.
Firm off the driver with a crisp, clicky strike rather than a cushioned one, and enough ionomer softness around the green to check up modestly on chips without the drop-and-stop bite of a urethane ball.
Built for driver speeds roughly 80-100 mph, especially players who already generate some speed but want a firmer, lower-spin roll-out rather than a cushioned launch ball; not the pick for anyone chasing wedge spin.
Too new as of mid-2026 to have any real presence in used or lake-ball bins; it's a specialty/senior-fitting purchase, not a bulk-bucket ball yet.
