Respected among better-player gearheads specifically for its combo-set flexibility with the P7MB, and reviewed favorably (MyGolfSpy, Plugged In Golf) as some of the best feel in a TaylorMade iron, but it lacks the scarcity, tour legend, or forum-chase behavior that would elevate it to cult classic — a very good current-generation players' iron, not (yet) a hunted one.

TaylorMade's own fitting places this at a 7-iron swing speed of roughly 78-90 mph for a low-handicap player wanting a blade-like look with marginal forgiveness. Ideal as the long-iron half of a combo set with the P7MB blade; a poor fit for mid/high handicaps who need real forgiveness.
