The RTX 6 ZipCore rolled out across North America in January 2023 (previewed on tour months earlier) at $169 as the fourth-generation ZipCore tour wedge, packing far more low-density core material than the 2020 RTX ZipCore to push MOI higher. Its standout addition was HydraZip, a mix of face treatments and laser lines that maximizes friction; Cleveland measured about 43% more spin in wet conditions than the prior generation, among the best wet-weather wedges available. It pairs HydraZip with UltiZip grooves for sharp bite. Four grinds cover most players: Low (58-60 degrees), Mid (46-60), Full (54-60), and a new-for-2023 Low+ on 54-56-degree sand lofts. MyGolfSpy's 2023 wedge test ranked it 5th overall, top-10 in accuracy, consistency, and spin. The RTZ line replaced it in January 2025.
A top-tier and top-rated performer, but still a recent, high-volume, on-schedule tour wedge replaced by the RTZ line in 2025. Its standing rests on measurable performance (MyGolfSpy top-5, best-in-class wet spin), not scarcity or legend, and it is widely available new-old-stock and used. Excellent commodity, not a collectible.
For low-to-mid handicaps and better players who want tour-level spin, especially the best-available spin in wet and rough conditions, plus grind choice (Low/Low+ for open-face and firm turf, Mid for all-around, Full for square-faced steeper players). Not a game-improvement club; golfers needing mishit forgiveness should choose the CBX 4 ZipCore or Smart Sole.
Launched January 2023 against Titleist Vokey SM9 and TaylorMade Milled Grind 3/4, once again the spin-and-value tour option but now class-leading in wet spin. It succeeded the RTX ZipCore (2020) and was replaced by the RTZ line in January 2025. Lofts top out at 60 degrees, dropping the 62/64 offered on earlier RTX models.
A players/tour wedge whose extra ZipCore material gives it the highest MOI of the RTX muscleback line, enough for a small, real stability edge on off-center strikes, so a 5, matching the 2020 ZipCore and above older RTX blades. It is still a compact head that rewards clean contact; HydraZip/UltiZip add spin and wet performance, not mishit rescue. Far below the forgiveness of the CBX or Smart Sole wedges.

As a recent flagship, private-party 2026 value is roughly $90-$120 for a clean single wedge, with newer/less-worn examples and desirable grinds/finishes at the top; discounted new-old-stock exists since the RTZ superseded it. Reconditioned-retail grades run higher. Holds value better than older RTX generations but still depreciates with groove wear.
