Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw's 2015 masterpiece on the cliffs of Cape Breton Island, and Golf Digest's Best New Course that year. Cliffs mixes links, dune, and highland golf across a routing of six par 3s, six par 4s, and six par 5s — almost every hole with an ocean view, several perched right on the edge of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. It vaulted into world top-20 lists almost immediately and made tiny Inverness, a former coal town, a global golf pilgrimage.

Bucket-listers, links purists, and strong ball-strikers who want wind golf at its most dramatic. Anyone who's played Bandon and wants the Canadian answer.

The par-3 16th is the headliner — a cliff-to-cliff carry over a 100-foot drop to the ocean, routinely compared to Cypress Point's 16th and among the most photographed holes in golf. The closing cliffside stretch of 15–18 is as dramatic as anything in North America.

Genuinely hard: cliff-edge carries, constant wind, and firm, contoured links turf. Forward tees soften the forced carries, but this is a course that exposes a shaky short game. Go for the experience, not the score.

In GSPro and widely considered one of the flagship courses of the whole library — a stunning, faithful recreation. It plays hard in the sim too: wind settings and the 16th's carry make it a great bay challenge. Every Clubhouse member should play it at least once.

Public resort — anyone can book, though resort guests get tee-time priority. Green fees sit in the CA$300–400+ range in peak season; it's walking golf with caddies available. Book well ahead for July–September.
